The board members of the Northern Virginia Chapter lead various committees that together comprise the bulk of FBA-NOVA’s administrative and programming work. Getting involved in a committee provides familiarity with the inner workings of the FBA and the board members and an opportunity for leadership. Plan and organize slate of CLEs on core topics important to the Chapter's membership, with a focus on EDVA practice.
Outreach to younger and new lawyers and organize events of interest to newer lawyers.
Outreach to potential new members and contact with current members with expiring memberships.
Plan and organize CLEs and events of special interest to the Chapter's members who practice criminal law.
Website management and member communications, including timely email updates concerning changes relevant to practice in the EDVA.
Plan and organize non-CLE events sponsored by the Chapter (e.g. Armstrong lecture, Intro to Courthouse, the golf tournament, investitures).
