The Federal Bar Association, Northern Virginia Chapter, serves the local bar that appears before the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, Alexandria Division, and the Judges of the Court. Our purpose is to promote the welfare, growth and development of the federal legal system and the sound administration of justice, particularly practice in the Alexandria courthouse. We do this through timely, quality CLE presentations, lectures, and social events. These events afford members of the bar opportunities to interact with each other and the Judges of the Court on a professional and personal level, and also keep members of the bar informed about changes that may affect their practice before the Court. The Northern Virginia Chapter strives to facilitate resolution of issues affecting the practice of law before the Court, to inform members of developments in their respective fields of interest, and to promote high standards of professional competence and ethical conduct. The Federal Bar Association, Northern Virginia Chapter, is a non-profit organization that encourages members of the bar to be involved in its activities and provides members opportunities to assume leadership roles. If you are not already a member, we welcome you to join our chapter and experience our many exciting activities for yourself.
