In Memorium: Judge Bryan

We want to pass along the sad news that United States District Judge Albert V. Bryan, Jr. passed away earlier this week. Judge Bryan served in the Alexandria Division of the Eastern District of Virginia from 1971 until he took senior status in 1991. From 1985-1991, Judge Bryan served as chief judge of the district and is credited with creating the “rocket docket.” Judge Bryan remained a Senior Judge of the Court until his death.

A service will be held for Judge Bryan on Wednesday, September 4th at 10 a.m., at the Belle Haven Country Club in Alexandria, Virginia.
